Greece: Mosque near airport under construction

Athens, Shawwal 25//Jan 9,2002 (IINA) – A new mosque is under construction near Athens’ international airport, for which a number of Islamic countries have provided funds. There are in Greece around 100,000 Muslims and 250 mosques, most of them concentrated in the north of the country. Greece is expected to send 500 pilgrims for this year’s Haj.
